Terms & Conditions
Confirming your booking
A deposit of 10% of the agreed event minimum spend or estimated booking value is required to secure your booking.
For events held in November or December, the deposit is 20%.
Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel.
Your booking is confirmed once Mordeo has received the deposit.
Payment
For group bookings, all fixed costs, including set menus and packages, must be paid by EFT and cleared 2 days before the event, following the issue of a tax invoice.
For exclusive venue bookings, all fixed costs must be paid and cleared 7 days before the event.
Any remaining balance, including beverages charged on consumption and any amount needed to meet the agreed minimum spend, is payable at the conclusion of the event unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Menus and guest numbers
Prices and gratuity
Menus and approximate guest numbers must be confirmed at least 3 days before the event. Please provide all dietary requirements by email by this deadline so our team can make appropriate arrangements.
A change in guest numbers of more than 10% may require us to move your booking to another suitable space within the venue. We will discuss any proposed change with you.
Pre-ordered food, including canapé packages and set menus, that is cancelled or reduced less than 3 days before the event remains payable in full for the confirmed quantity.
Minimum spends
A minimum spend applies to private use of the Private Dining Room:

Minimum spends for other private events vary by day and season and will be confirmed in your event proposal. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the following minimum spends apply to exclusive use of the venue:

The agreed minimum spend will be recorded in your booking confirmation. If food and beverage charges fall below that amount, the difference will be charged as a minimum spend shortfall.
Mordeo practices responsible service of alcohol and may refuse service in accordance with its legal obligations.
All quoted prices include GST. A 5% staff gratuity applies to group bookings and will be shown in the event proposal and final invoice. Prices may change before a booking is confirmed; the prices and minimum spend agreed in your written booking confirmation will apply to your event.
